About Georgetown Milling Company

Rafael and Kristin were both born and raised in Northern California. They both grew up in rural areas and when it was time for them to buy a home they wanted to find a place of their own in the woods. In 2014 they moved to Georgetown. Their daughter was born at home in 2018 and she loves to lend a helping hand to her dad with cleaning up the mill shop.  

After settling into their new home in Georgetown, Rafael started chain milling as a hobby and Kristin enjoyed doing woodworking projects. The company started in 2017 as a part time business while Rafael and Kristin worked other jobs. In 2018 the company became their full time work. There have been many challenges and changes on their journey but they wouldn't trade it for anything else. Georgetown Milling Co. has become a passion. 

As the only two people operating the business, Rafael and Kristin can keep product quality front and center. Rafael runs the equipment and all that comes with it, the majority of the orders, and deliveries. Kristin helps out with the quality control, manual work at the mill, and administration duties. Rafael and Kristin have centered Georgetown Milling Co. around selling only quality products, having fair prices, and providing down-to-earth friendly customer service. They run their company with the firm belief that hard honest work is good for the soul.
